Loyalty Management

Optimize event consumption and storage with smarter transaction journal and member currency creation. Create activity-based currencies with flexible expiration models for subtypes. Increase member engagement through multi-milestone rewards, and maximize return on investment with AI-powered personalized promotion targets.

  • Reduce Event Consumption with Smarter Loyalty Transaction Journal Creation
Configure Loyalty Management to create transaction journals during real-time processing only when transactions result in record changes or meet promotion requirements. This optimization applies only to real-time processing via the Transaction Journals Execution API, with no impact on batch processing.
  • Optimize Storage with Just-in-Time Member Currency Record Creation
Create member currency records only when members first engage with the program by earning or spending points. Instead of creating a record at enrollment, Loyalty Management creates it on the first credit transaction. If you turn on negative point balances and member currency records don’t exist, Loyalty Management creates a record on the first debit transaction. This approach reduces storage consumption and improves database performance without affecting member functionality.
  • Use Mixed Expiration Models for Subtypes of Activity-Based Currencies
Improve liability management by creating currencies with the Activity With Mixed Subcurrencies expiration model. The parent currency uses activity-based expiration while subtypes can use fixed or activity-based expiration. Previously, all subtypes inherited the expiration model of the parent currency. You can also configure traceability on these currencies to link redemption transactions to source accrual transactions.
  • Increase Engagement by Rewarding Members at Multiple Milestone Targets of an Activity
Create engagement trail promotions that track a member’s progress on a single activity and reward them on reaching multiple milestones. Set up to three targets—easy, moderate, and hard—with progressively higher goals. If a member meets multiple targets with a single transaction, the member gets rewards for all the milestones. You can also set personalized targets for individual members by using predictive models.
  • Maximize Loyalty Promotion ROI with Predictive AI
Set personalized targets based on individual buying patterns by using Salesforce Predictive AI models. For example, for a customer with a $50 average historical spend, the model generates easy, moderate, and hard targets of $60, $75, and $90. For a $100 spender, it generates targets of $120, $150, and $200. Increase engagement and maximize revenue by configuring your loyalty promotions to use these tailored targets.
  • Apply Discounts and Issue Rewards in a Single API Call
Use the Unified Execution API to apply discounts and issue rewards in one request instead of making separate calls to Get Eligible Promotions API and Transaction Journal API. The API reduces integration complexity and supports faster, more reliable transaction processing.
  • Analyze Loyalty Programs with More Tableau Next Dashboards
Analyze your loyalty programs using several new dashboards in Tableau Next. Tableau Next delivers the high performance and advanced capabilities needed to process large member bases and transaction volumes. These dashboards were previously available only in CRM Analytics.
  • Simplify Loyalty Widget Deployment with Lightning Out 2.0
Embed widgets into your external sites or Experience Cloud sites with auto-generated HTML snippets. Built on Lightning Out 2.0, the widgets reflect the changes that you make to design, content, or behavior immediately without redeploying code. Previously, you had to manually embed widgets and re-embed them after every change.
  • Save Time with Incremental Data Kit Upgrades for Loyalty Management
Save time after you upgrade your Loyalty Management license by installing only the additional components. Each data kit builds on the previous one: Starter, Growth, and Advanced. For example, if you have the Growth license, you install the Loyalty Management Starter and Loyalty Management Growth data kits. Later, if you upgrade to Advanced, you install the Loyalty Management Advanced data kit, adding only the additional components. Previously, installing the Growth or Advanced data kit reinstalled all underlying components.
  • Set Up Loyalty Programs with AI Tools
Describe your loyalty program in plain language to an AI tool, and set it up in one guided, conversational workflow. The tool creates your loyalty program, tier model and related qualifying-point currency, redeemable currency, accrual and redemption activities, and tier benefits and tier assessment rules. After you create the necessary records, the tool activates your program.
  • Enrich Your Loyalty Program with AI Tools
Create vouchers, games, and badges to increase member engagement by describing what you want to an AI tool. The tool creates the underlying record — with the discount, expiration, game rewards, or badge validity details you specify — and activates it for you. Configure each one independently, in any order, to keep building out your loyalty program's offerings.
  • Onboard Partners into Your Loyalty Ecosystem with AI Tools
Your marketing managers can bring an external partner into your loyalty program's ecosystem through a guided, conversational workflow. The tool creates the partner account and maps the partner's product catalog and categories. Your managers can also set up prepaid packs and a points conversion ratio, and create joint promotions.
  • Build Complex Loyalty Promotions with AI Tools
Configure complex promotions that use the Accrual Events and Engagement Trail templates through a conversational, AI-assisted workflow. Describe your requirements in plain language to an AI tool, and the tool creates the underlying qualifiers and milestones as you confirm each detail. Define limits to control liability, and configure multiple promotions independently of each other.
  • Enroll Loyalty Members and Resolve Service Cases with AI Tools
Your service representatives and marketing managers can enroll members through AI tools by using natural language prompts. Service representatives can also manage loyalty tiers, points, and vouchers. The tool creates and updates the corresponding records in Loyalty Management. Each request is processed independently, so resolving one member's case doesn't affect another member's records.
