Salesforce's standard unsaved-changes warning now covers embedded apps, so users are warned before they navigate away from work in progress.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience and LWR-based Experience Cloud sites in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer, and Partner Developer editions hosted on Hyperforce where English is the default language. This change doesn't apply to Aura sites or the Salesforce mobile app.
When: This feature is available starting September 14, 2026.
Who: This change is for developers who build embedded apps and who can create Lightning web components.
Why: Prevent users from accidentally losing unsaved work in an embedded app when they navigate away.
How: When your embedded app has unsaved changes, mark the view as dirty through the platform SDK. Salesforce then shows its standard navigation-confirmation dialog if the user tries to leave.
