# Exchange Data Between Salesforce and an Embedded App (Generally Available)

Sync data and UI state in both directions between Salesforce and your embedded app over a secure, versioned channel, so the app can react to host state and send updates back.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience, Experience Cloud LWR and Aura sites, and the Salesforce mobile app in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer, and Partner Developer editions hosted on Hyperforce where English is the default language.

**When:** This feature is available starting September 14, 2026.

**Who:** This change is for developers who build embedded apps and who can create Lightning web components.

**Why:** Keep the embedded app and Salesforce in sync without building custom integration plumbing.

**How:** The embedded app subscribes to host UI state updates and receives full state snapshots. To send data back, the app dispatches custom events that the host Lightning web component listens for. Data is copied with structured clone, so pass only cloneable values.
