# Discovery for Salesforce CMDB & Service Graph

Keep CMDB data current with server and cloud inventory and operational events from Splunk. Use Dynamic Discovery to create Splunk discovery targets and review incomplete CIs before adding relevant resources to CMDB. Use the new Discovery objects and platform event that support Dynamic Discovery.

- **[Keep Configuration Items Current with Dynamic Discovery for Splunk](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_it_srvcs_cmdb_dynamic_discovery.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Help IT service teams investigate Splunk-detected infrastructure issues with up-to-date server and cloud data in CMDB. Dynamic Discovery combines scheduled inventory updates with operational events so configuration items reflect current conditions. Admins can review incomplete CIs discovered from Splunk and add relevant resources to CMDB.
- **[New and Changed Objects for Salesforce CMDB and Service Graph](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_it_srvcs_new_obj_discovery.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Do more with the new Discovery objects for Salesforce CMDB and Service Graph.
