# Keep Users Informed Across Channels with Broadcast Communications

Send broadcast communications to keep your users informed during major incidents and change requests, instead of relying on scattered, manual updates. Reach everyone through email, in-app, Slack, and Teams in one action. Draft messages quickly with generative AI grounded in the record's details. Configure preferences to control which channels and records broadcast communications use. Track every message from the communications history tab so your teams stay coordinated and avoid duplicate or conflicting updates.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Agentforce IT Service.

**Who:** To send broadcast communications, assign the BroadcastCommsSender permission set license to your incident and change fulfillers.

**How:** From Setup, open Salesforce Go, go to Broadcast Communications, turn it on, and set channel and object preferences. Send a broadcast from an incident or change request record.
