# Renew Expiring Group Insurance Contracts for a New Term

Your reps can prepare a renewal quote for an expiring contract, carry forward unchanged contract terms and member benefits, and update terms agreed with the employer for the next benefit year. They can apply negotiated loyalty pricing and renewal-effective taxes and fees. They can also reflect approved benefit-class changes and apply coverage eligibility based on how long the group has been associated with the carrier and regulatory compliance or offerings. After the renewal terms are finalized, automate contract creation for the next period and link it to the prior contract for auditability.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with Digital Insurance.

**How**: Use the Generate Quote from Insurance Contract API or set up a screen flow that invokes the Create Quote from Insurance Contract invocable action to generate a renewal quote. Stage the renewed terms and reprice the quote. Use the Renew Contract API or set up a screen flow that invokes the Renew Insurance Contract invocable action to finalize the quote and create the contract for the next term.
