Angular joins React as a supported frontend framework for Salesforce Multi-Framework. Build web apps with Angular and the standard Angular CLI, and run them directly on the Salesforce Platform with access to Salesforce data, security, and governance. As with React, you can build internal-facing apps for employees and external-facing apps for customers and partners.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer, and Partner Developer editions hosted on Hyperforce.
When: This change is available starting in September 2026.
Why: With Angular support, your team can bring existing Angular skills, libraries, and apps to the Salesforce Platform.
- Scaffold your app using the
angularinternalappandangularexternalapptemplates that come pre-wired with platform integration. - Manage your app as a UIBundle metadata type, using familiar Salesforce DX workflows and CLI commands.
- Query and mutate Salesforce records with the framework-agnostic Data SDK, which enforces object-level security, field-level security, and sharing rules on every request.
- Add features such as object search and the Agentforce Conversation Client.
How: Generate an Angular app from the internal or external template with the sf
template generate project CLI command. Install dependencies and run a local dev server
with the standard Angular CLI, and preview your changes in VS Code before you deploy the app as a
UIBundle. To build with AI assistance, use Agentforce Vibes or your own agentic IDE.
