# Guide Users Through Screen Flows with Criteria-Based Search and Filter Intake

Give users a search experience inside a Screen Flow instead of sending them somewhere else to look something up. Add the new Criteria-Based Search and Filter Intake component to a screen element to launch Criteria-Based Search and Filter with pre-filled filter criteria, lock specific filter fields as read-only, and enforce a maximum record selection limit.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience and Experience Cloud in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with the Criteria-Based Search and Filter add-on license (or the Criteria-Based Search and Filter for Experience Cloud add-on license for Experience Cloud users).

**Who:** This feature is available to users with the Criteria-Based Search and Filter system permission.

**How:** In **Flow Builder**, drag the **Criteria-Based Search and Filter Intake** component onto a Screen element, then configure the Search Configuration, Search Context to pre-fill or lock specific filters, and Maximum Selection to cap the number of records users can select.
