Turn On and Configure Fundraising with Agents

Admins and implementation partners can ask an AI agent to turn on Fundraising, assign permission sets, create a default gift designation, and turn on related features. The agent also offers to set up these optional enhanced features: interest tags, interaction summaries, record alerts, life events, and timeline. Work from the command line or another agent channel. Previously, these tasks required working through multiple pages in Setup.

Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer, and Agentforce 1 Nonprofit editions where Fundraising is available.

When: The Fundraising setup skill is available in the Headless 360 MCP Server (Beta) beginning the week of October 19, 2026.

Who: Admins and implementation partners with an Admin profile and an edition that includes a Fundraising license can turn on and configure Fundraising.

Note
Note An agent acts with the permissions of the authenticated user and can't exceed them.

How: You can use Agentforce Vibes, Claude Code, or another connected agent to set up Fundraising with the nonprofit-fundraising-configure agent skill. For Agentforce Vibes, no installation is necessary. Agentforce Vibes installs, enables, and updates AI skills automatically. You can manage them from the Skills page, under Toolkit, in Agentforce Vibes. For Claude Code with Salesforce CLI, install the Salesforce Development plugin, which provides Salesforce-specific skills and org context through hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.

First, connect to the Headless 360 MCP Server (Beta). Then, ask the agent to set up Fundraising. For example, ask the agent to:

  • Set up Fundraising for my org
  • Turn on Fundraising and create a default gift designation
  • Assign Fundraising permission sets to my users

The agent checks for a Fundraising license and if Person Accounts is on. Then it provides a plan that includes turning on Person Accounts and Fundraising, if applicable. The agent asks for your confirmation before it turns on Person Accounts and Fundraising, then it assigns permissions, or changes settings. After you turn on Fundraising or Person Accounts, you can't turn them off.
