# Keep Flexible Hierarchies in Sync Automatically

Automate the maintenance of rule-based flexible hierarchies by using scheduled flows. Because underlying business data changes frequently, rule-based hierarchies can fall out of sync with their defined rules. Instead of manually auditing and updating hierarchies, schedule the prebuilt flows to proactively identify out-of-sync hierarchies and re-run their rules to bring them back into alignment.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Unlimited and Agentforce editions with Agentforce Financial Services.

**Why:** Scheduled maintenance applies only the required changes to affected hierarchies, rather than rebuilding the entire structure when source data changes.

**How:** In Setup, go to **Flows**. Clone, schedule, and activate the **Check Flexible Hierarchy Sync Status** and **Re-Run Out-of-Sync Flexible Hierarchies** flows. The Check Flexible Hierarchy Sync Status flow identifies rule-based hierarchies that are out of sync. The Re-Run Out-of-Sync flexible hierarchies flow reruns the rules for those hierarchies and applies the required structural updates.
