# Stay Oriented with Smart Scheduling Console Defaults

Let your dispatchers automatically view today's date when reopening the scheduling console—eliminating manual navigation back to the present day. For time horizons up to 3 weeks, today appears as the first visible day; for 1 month or longer, the first day of the current week appears first. A blue circle marks today so your dispatchers can always find their bearings, while refresh keeps their active working view intact.

**Where:** This change applies to the Scheduling Console in Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Field Service.

**When:** This feature is available in the Scheduling Console starting October 12, 2026.
