# Alert Technicians to Emergency Dispatches with a Distinct Notification

Make emergency dispatches impossible to miss. When you dispatch an emergency appointment, technicians hear a unique sound and feel a strong vibration that sets the alert apart from routine notifications. Previously, every Field Service mobile app notification sounded the same, making critical dispatches easy to miss.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions, and to the Field Service mobile app for Android and iOS.

**How:** From Setup, in Field Service Mobile Settings, select **Send emergency appointment notifications on dispatch**. Salesforce uses the Emergency field on the service appointment to identify emergencies. The built-in emergency sound is admin-controlled.
