# External Services

External services schemas now support any type.

- **[Streamline Flow Integrations with External Services Support for Any Type](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_ext_services_any_type_support.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
You can now create an external service based on an OpenAPI schema that supports any shape by using schema: {}. When you use the external service action in Flow, you don’t need an Apex class or a Transform element. The data is sent directly to the external endpoint regardless of the objects, fields, and values it contains. If the schema of your data changes, flows continue to work. You save time and effort because Flow integrations are easier to create and maintain.
