# OpenAI GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 Family Reroute Date Approaching

OpenAI GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 family model requests will be rerouted January 14, 2027.

- GPT-4o is being replaced by GPT-5.6 Luna
- GPT-4o mini is being replaced by GPT-5.6 Luna
- GPT-4.1 is being replaced by GPT-5.6 Luna
- GPT-4.1 Mini is being replaced by GPT-5.6 Luna

We recommend that you test your prompts and applications with the new model in Prompt Builder and AI Models as soon as possible, because expected responses can change.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with an Einstein for Sales, Einstein for Platform, or Einstein for Service add-on.

**When:** OpenAI GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 family model requests are rerouted on January 14, 2027.
