# Dynamic Default Model Selection for New Agents

Starting October 15, 2026, new agents created in Agentforce Builder default to an optimal model selected for them.

The model chosen depends on provider preference, speed, accuracy, cost, and regional availability. This only happens once when creating the agent. You can change the model after agent creation at any time. See [Select Agentforce Model Option](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.agent_setup_select_model_provider.htm&language=en_US) for more information.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Foundations or Agentforce 1 editions. Setup for AI agents is available on the desktop site.

**When:** Change is available on a rolling basis in Salesforce orgs upgraded to Winter ’27 starting the week of October 12, 2026.
