Use the new dx-org-devhub-configure AI Skill to enable and manage your Dev Hub directly from your AI coding client by using natural-language prompts.
Where: This change applies to Dev Hub, which is available in Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.
Why: With the dx-org-devhub-configure skill, you can:
- Enable Dev Hub on a Salesforce org to create scratch orgs, second-generation managed packages (2GP), or unlocked packages.
- Check whether Dev Hub is already enabled on an org.
- View how many scratch orgs a Dev Hub can create.
- Configure your Dev Hub preferences, such as enabling 2GP, unlocked packages, org shape exports, or scratch org snapshots.
- List the active scratch orgs created from a Dev Hub.
How: AI Skills are available from the forcedotcom/sf-skills repository on GitHub. Add the skill to your AI coding client, and then describe your task in natural language. For example, to enable Dev Hub on an org, write a request like “Enable Dev Hub.”
