# Delete Discounts on Large Enterprise Quotes and Orders

Keep your sales reps working in the cart when they remove a discount from an enterprise quote or order with up to 50,000 line items. For Standard Runtime carts that exceed a configurable line-item threshold, Enterprise Sales Management completes the removal in the background and notifies the rep. Previously, the same action often failed on large carts, which left the discount in place and stalled the deal.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Enterprise Sales Management.

**How:** No additional setup is required. To change how many line items each background process handles, go to the **Vlocity CMT Administration** tab, and under Custom Settings, select **CPQ Configuration Setup**. Set `ESMBatchSizeForDeleteDiscount` to the number of line items that you want each process to handle. The default and recommended value is 50. To change the number of line items at which background processing starts, set `syncDeleteDiscountThreshold` to a value from 20 to 50. The default value is 20.
