description: Model real-world dependencies between products and classifications without locking them into a bundle. With the Relies On relationship type, specify that one product (the source) relies on another (the related product). Each product keeps its own price, term, and lifecycle. When a sales rep adds a product with a Relies On rule to a quote or an order, the system links it to an eligible related product, or prompts to choose one if multiple products match. The relationship flows from quote to order to asset and persists through amendments, keeping dependencies accurate across the lifecycle.

# Define Product Dependencies with Linear Relationships

Model real-world dependencies between products and classifications without locking them into a bundle.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Communications Cloud Advanced.
