# Route Users Where They Need to Be with Context-Aware Custom Notifications

Custom notifications now carry precise navigation intent, instantly landing users on a specific destination, such as the quote summary tab, ESM summary, ESM loaction, or a custom link. Use the API to create custom notifications complete with redirect-ready metadata, cutting out manual navigation and keeping operational workflows seamless.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Enterprise Sales Management.

**How:** Send notifications through the exposed API and include metadata that identifies destination context. On click, the notification framework resolves metadata and opens the configured page or tab. Extend metadata conventions for custom use cases when implementation teams need nonstandard UI routing.
