Commerce Cart, Checkout, and Shipping

Buyers can now easily add items to a cart for repeat orders with order templates.

  • Maintain Multiple Carts Simultaneously (Generally Available)
With advanced cart management for B2B Commerce, now generally available, buyers can have multiple independent carts, each organized for a different project. Buyers can name, rename, or delete a saved cart to keep their procurement organized.
  • Request Quotes and Checkout from Saved Carts
Let B2B buyers request quotes and complete checkout from any saved cart. Buyers can manage multiple purchasing scenarios simultaneously without switching between carts or losing progress. Previously, you needed to switch to the default cart.
  • Split Shipment, Apply Coupons, and Add Gifts to a Saved Cart
Let your B2B buyers configure multi-address shipping, add gift wrapping and messages, and apply coupon codes in their cart by adding new components to your pages. Buyers can also apply different coupons to different carts without the need to switch to the default cart.
  • Organize Your Carts by Date
B2B buyers can now sort their cart list by created or modified date. The cart list shows the default cart at the top along with the four most recently modified carts.
  • Speed Up Bulk Ordering by Using a CSV File
Populate a cart with multiple line items in a single action by importing a CSV file. If a buyer has a large or complex order, they no longer need to add products one at a time. Before checkout, you can export to a CSV file to review, edit, or share order details outside the storefront. Prepare or update cart contents in spreadsheet workflows and then move data into B2B Commerce.
  • Collaborate on B2B Orders with Shared Cart Permissions
Simplify complex purchasing workflows as B2B Commerce buyers can now share carts with team members on their account. Buyers can grant view, edit, or check out access to facilitate internal approvals without sharing login credentials. Team members can easily track active collaborators and manage shared carts.
  • View When Orders Are in Pending or Failed State
Buyers in your B2B store can now see if their order is pending or failed immediately after placing the order. Previously, the confirmation page showed no record of the order if it was pending or failed. Pending orders prior to this release don't appear in Order History.
  • Automatically Release Reserved Resources for Failed Orders
When an order fails, you can now release the items that have been reserved to prevent inventory mismatch. Separately configure payment reversal in your B2B store for failed orders. Alternatively, you can configure your own post-order cleanup mechanism for failed orders.
  • Automate Email Notifications for Failed Orders
Notify buyers when a cart wasn't converted to an order. If a cart has a Failed status, an Order Creation Failure email is sent to the buyer. The email isn't sent for carts that are pending.
  • Update Stores Prior to Summer '25 That Use Place Order Orchestration
If you have a B2B store that was created before Summer '25 that uses Place Order orchestration, it's excluded from the Order Ingestion job—a background process in which Checkouts and carts become orders. The Order Ingestion job now skips carts and checkout sessions from B2B stores that still use Place Order orchestration from before Summer '25.
