# Render Source Documents Consistently for Intelligent Context Citations

Harmonize your source content into a single, consistent schema to provide a uniform, renderable view across all source documents. With a harmonized schema, citations open in-app and highlight the specific text chunk from the source document.

**Where:** This update is available in Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

**When:** This feature is available on a rolling basis starting in September 2026.

**Why:** Without harmonization, source documents render in varying formats, and in-app highlighting isn't possible. Knowledge harmonization restructures source documents to be used with Intelligent Context, so the harmonized preview can look different from the original formatting or layout. This difference is expected and is part of the harmonization process.

**How:** After you upload your source file, go to the **Edit Configuration** section in the preview window. Then turn on **Harmonize source file** in the knowledge harmonization dropdown. To preview, select **Harmonized** in the preview.
