# Use the Branch Element in Context-Aware Expression Sets

In an expression set that uses a context definition, add the List Branch element to build if-then-else rule conditions directly on list data. Each incoming list item is processed by the first branch whose condition it satisfies.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions where Business Rules Engine and Context Service are enabled.

**How:** In an expression set that has a context definition, open Expression Set Builder, and drag the List Branch element from the Elements panel to the canvas. Define a condition for each If branch, and add supported elements such as calculations, lookup tables, and subexpressions within a branch.
