# Update Business Manager Cartridges to a More Secure Format

Business Manager cartridges that use the deprecated pre-2.6 extension format no longer load. Update your cartridges to the current format to maintain functionality.

**Where:** This change applies to Business Manager in B2C Commerce.

**How:** If a deprecated cartridge is in your cartridge path, you’re notified on the Code Deployment screen and alerts display on the Admin dashboard.
