# Apply Rate Limiting to Cached Assets in eCDN Rules

When you create or edit an eCDN rate-limiting rule in Business Manager, you can now control whether cached assets count toward the rule’s rate limit. This setting is selected by default, so cached assets count toward the limit and rules created before this change keep their current behavior. Clear the checkbox to apply the rule’s rate limits only to non-cached requests.

**Where:** This change applies to B2C Commerce.

**How:** In Business Manager, click **App Launcher**, and then select **Administration** | **Sites** | **Embedded CDN Settings**. Configure a zone, open Security Rules, and create or edit a rate-limiting rule. Select the **Also apply rate limiting to cached assets** checkbox to match how you want cached requests counted.
