Build and Manage B2C Commerce with the Agentic B2C Developer Toolkit

Build storefronts, deploy code, investigate issues, and manage your B2C sites in your AI assistant. The Agentic B2C Developer Toolkit includes a Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent skills, a CLI, and an IDE extension. Agent skills add curated guidance for storefront development, CLI workflows, and incident investigation directly to your AI assistant.

Where: This change applies to B2C Commerce, Storefront Next, Composable Storefront, and SFRA.

When: Agentic B2C Developer Toolkit version 2.0 is available starting September 15, 2026.

Why: Use the Agentic B2C Developer Toolkit for B2C administrative and developer tasks by typing prompts in your AI assistant.

  • Deploy cartridges, manage code versions, run jobs, configure SLAS and eCDN, and manage Managed Runtime environments and On-Demand Sandboxes.
  • Build B2C components, such as custom B2C Commerce API (SCAPI) endpoints and Page Designer components.
  • Debug your code with AI assistance. Investigate live cartridge execution.
  • Use built-in GitHub Actions for automating B2C Commerce operations in your CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop Commerce Apps with agent skills.
  • Search the B2C Commerce documentation.

How: Install the B2C MCP as a plugin in Claude, Codex, VS Code, Cursor, OpenCode, or Gemini, or configure it manually by adding npx -y @salesforce/b2c-dx-mcp@latest to your MCP server settings. Connected tasks use your B2C Commerce credentials and account permissions. To use agent skills without the MCP, install them through the plugin marketplace in your AI coding environment.
