# Trigger Flows Faster on Order Events with a REST API

Send transactional messages faster by calling a REST API that starts the flow directly. The new Order Return, Order Shipment, and Order Status Change events in the Event Library accept API calls with order data. Flows process order events in approximately 3 seconds instead of 7–10 minutes.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Marketing Cloud Growth and Marketing Cloud Advanced editions.

**Why:** The Event Library includes a pre-built schema for hierarchical order data, so you can map nested line items in Flow Builder without building a custom event structure.

**How:** In Flow Builder, select the **Order Return**, **Order Shipment**, or **Order Status Change** event from the **Event Library**, for example to trigger a flow when an order is confirmed. Send POST requests with customer information, order details, and line items to trigger the flow.
