# Build Flows Faster with Auto-Generated Element Labels

Flow Builder automatically generates element labels based on the properties that you configure. As you build, labels update automatically, eliminating repetitive data entry. When you manually edit a label, Flow Builder preserves your changes.

**Where:** This change applies to Flow Builder in Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Starter Suite, Pro Suite, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.

**Why:** Consistent, meaningful labels make flows easier to read, maintain, and troubleshoot. Teams can understand existing flows at a glance.

**How:** Auto-generated element labels are automatically enabled when you open Flow Builder. Add properties to an element, and Flow Builder generates or updates the label when you close the property panel. To customize a label, edit it manually. The system preserves your edits.
