# Pause and Resume Vehicle Repossession with Hold Management

Place holds on active repossessions to pause enforcement actions when circumstances require it, and resume the process when the hold condition is resolved.

Manage holds for payment arrangements, legal proceedings, bankruptcy filings, or customer disputes, and resume the repossession process when the hold condition is resolved. Hold records maintain a complete audit trail of reasons, durations, and approvals to support regulatory compliance.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Automotive Cloud and the Collections and Recovery capability.

**Who:** Users need the Automotive Foundation User, Vehicle and Asset Finance Foundation, and Industries Repossession Management permission sets.

**How:** From a repossession record in the Repossession Console app, place a hold to pause enforcement actions. Specify the hold reason, expected duration, and any conditions for release. When the hold condition is resolved, release the hold to resume the repossession workflow.
