Establish clear legal ownership before you proceed with repossession. Track the asset title and all associated parties, and validate an uploaded title document automatically.
Track the asset title and identify all parties associated with a vehicle from a single consolidated view. On the Collateral tab of the Repossession record, create a title verification to review title details, validate that lien and regulatory requirements are met, and confirm that repossession proceeds only when ownership records are accurate and complete. You can also validate an uploaded title document automatically: Save and Extract reads the document data and Validate Record validates the extracted data against the asset title record. In orgs with Agentforce and Data Cloud enabled, an automated review of the extracted title data is presented for the specialist to cross-verify before accepting, rejecting, or marking the document pending — cutting manual data entry and speeding legal-standing checks. On the final Document Review, the specialist compares the extracted data against the record and approves or rejects the document.
Where: This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Automotive Cloud and the Collections and Recovery capability. Automated document review requires Agentforce with Data Cloud enabled.
Who: Assign the Industries Repossession Management permission set to verify titles and run title extraction and review in the Repossession Console. The Automotive Foundation User, Vehicle and Asset Finance Foundation, and Document Checklist permission sets are prerequisites.
How: From the Repossession record's Collateral tab, select Create Title Verification and review the Asset Title and Asset Title Party details. Before you can capture documents, an admin enables Advanced Document Validation—and, for AI-assisted extraction and review, AI-Powered Document Validation—in Setup, and configures the document type, document category, and document validation definition. To capture a document, choose the document type and category, upload the document, and select Save and Extract. Select Validate Record, review the extracted (and, with Agentforce, auto-reviewed) title data, set the document status, and save the verified title details.
