# Create Pre-Repossession Records for Delinquent Vehicle Accounts

Move a delinquent account into pre-repossession without leaving the Collection record. When an account is delinquent, an alert surfaces on the record with a recommended next step.

When an account is delinquent, an alert surfaces on the record with a recommended next step — for example, that the account is a set number of days past due and to begin the pre-repossession assessment. From the Action Launcher, a collections agent starts the pre-repossession process, selects the financed vehicles to pursue, and submits, creating a Repossession record.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Automotive Cloud and the Collections and Recovery capability.

**Who:** Assign the Industries Repossession Management permission set to initiate pre-repossession from the Repossession Console. The Automotive Foundation User and Vehicle and Asset Finance Foundation permission sets are prerequisites.

**How:** On the Collection record, review the Collection Plan milestones and any pre-repossession recommendation alert on the record. In the Action Launcher, select Start Pre-Repossession Process, choose the vehicles to repossess, and submit to create the Repossession record.
