Creating an agent based on the Analytics and Visualization V2 template in Agentforce Studio gives you an enhanced analytics experience, plus access to next-generation Agentforce technology and capabilities. Basing the agent on the Analytics and Visualization V2 template requires no additional set up steps in the Agentforce Builder—you automatically get the Data Analysis subagent and all of the capabilities required for conversational analytics.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Compare Proportions and Show Hierarchies with Packed Layouts](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_visualization_packed_layout.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use treemaps to visualize category and subcategory hierarchies and compare each category’s share of the total. Create packed bubble charts to compare relative values across categories and quickly identify the largest and smallest contributors. Container panes in the Packed layout visually group marks to show how sub-categories roll up into categories.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Track Totals and Category Contributions Over Time with Area Charts](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_visualization_area_charts.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Visualize each category’s share of the total with the stacked, colored bands of Tableau Next area charts. Spot changes in overall volume and the distribution across categories over time. Choose continuous area charts to show values along an axis or discrete area charts to show values under separate headers.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Choose When to Save Visualization and Semantic Model Changes](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_visualization_explicit_save.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Changes you make to Tableau Next visualizations and their underlying semantic models from the Viz Builder are no longer saved automatically. Updates to the visualization while exploring the data, like choosing a different chart type, don’t automatically overwrite the saved version. Similarly, modifications to the underlying semantic model, like creating a calculated field, aren’t saved until you choose to save them. The Viz Builder indicates that you have unsaved changes so you can choose whether to save your updates.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Customize Marks with New Formatting Options](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_visualization_marks_formatting.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Style marks to highlight your data and make Tableau Next visualization elements easier to distinguish. Adjust border width and color to define mark edges, and change opacity to make overlapping marks easier to see. Round bar corners for a softer appearance, and apply dashed styles to line marks, reference lines, and forecast lines. Format headings, body text, and links on marks to improve readability and emphasize key details.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Draw Comparisons with Grand Totals and Subtotals Across Visualizations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_visualization_totals_subtotals.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Compare individual values with subtotals for their groups and grand totals for all groups in a Tableau Next visualization. Add grand totals and subtotals to bar charts, stacked bar charts, and crosstabs, plus grand totals to line charts. Display totals and subtotals for nested groups and multiple measures horizontally or vertically. Choose which totals and subtotals appear before or after crosstab detail rows and columns. Hover over stacked subtotal or grand total bar segments to see their values in tooltips.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Customize Visualization Titles with Rich Text](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_visualization_title_text_editor.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Give Tableau Next visualizations descriptive titles that convey what the data shows. Include related information, such as the workspace the visualization belongs to and fields used in the chart, to provide context. Format titles with font, size, color, emphasis, and alignment options to make them easy to read. Save time when you add visualizations to a dashboard by displaying their titles so you don’t need to create separate text widgets.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Highlight Table Values with Badges](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_table_badge.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Scan key information faster by applying a badge effect to text and numbers in Tableau Next tables. Customize badge colors to make differences between field values easier to recognize. For example, distinguish opportunity stages with colored badges to track deal progress. Or, compare profit margins across product categories to identify strong and weak performance.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Visualizations**: [Show or Hide Missing Values in Visualizations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_viz_show_missing_values.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Identify gaps in your records by showing dates or bins with no corresponding data in Tableau Next visualizations. For example, show every month in a sales chart to identify months with no recorded sales activity. Or, hide dates or bins with no recorded data for a cleaner look when the gaps aren’t relevant to your analysis.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Dashboards**: [Reuse Dashboard Extensions with Dynamic Data Binding](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_dashboard_extensions_dynamic_binding.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Build a Tableau Next dashboard extension with custom Lightning Web Components (LWC) once, and reuse it with different data to meet a range of business needs. With dynamic data binding, select the semantic model and map its fields in the Properties panel instead of changing the extension’s code. Using the same extension across models means fewer separate versions to maintain. For example, build a custom sunburst chart with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and reuse it to analyze opportunity pipelines or product sales.") (Added the week of October 5, 2026)
- **Dashboards**: [Manage How Tableau Next Dashboards Appear on Different Screens](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_dashboard_screen_appearance.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Dashboard authors now have more control over how Tableau Next dashboards appear when screen space is limited. You can set a minimum dashboard width so a horizontal scroll bar appears when the screen is narrower than that width. Keep long text contained by defining overflow and wrapping in text widgets. Also, page links in navigation widgets move into an overflow menu to prevent crowding the dashboard.") (Added the week of October 12, 2026)
- **Dashboards**: [Style Multiple Dashboard Widgets at Once](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_style_multiple_dashboard_widgets.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Build and update Tableau Next dashboards faster by applying formatting changes to multiple widgets in one action. When you select widgets of the same type, the styling panel shows their shared type-specific options, such as text color and font size for filter widgets. When you select different widget types, the panel shows only the widget-level styles common to all selected widgets.") (Added the week of October 12, 2026)
- **Workspaces**: [Replace Source Files to Keep Google Drive Data Lake Objects Current (Beta)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_replace_gdrive_dlo.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "You can now replace a source file in an existing Google Drive data lake object (DLO) when the file is outdated. Select a file from the original or a different Google Drive connection without recreating the DLO or its refresh schedule. You can also switch file types, such as from CSV to XLSX, when the replacement file or sheet matches the DLO schema.") (Added the week of October 12, 2026)
- **Workspaces**: [Manage Pre-Production Analytics Assets in Exploratory Orgs](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_exploratory_org_rename.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Personal Orgs are now known as Exploratory Orgs. Set a schedule that works for you, and choose the type of alerts you want to receive: progress toward goals or thresholds, unusual changes to metric values, or period-over-period changes to your metrics. When you create a goal or threshold, alerts are sent by default. Alerts are sent to your email and also appear under the Notifications icon (bell) in Tableau Next.") (Added the week of October 12, 2026)
- **Exploration and Action**: [Tableau Agent: Data Alerting Is Generally Available for Metrics and Data](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_metric_data_alerts_ga.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Tableau Agent: Data Alerting, formerly called Inspector Proactive Data Alerts, is now generally available. Users can ask Agentforce or Tableau Next Model Context Protocol (MCP) to send them alerts for queries about metrics or their dataset. For example, ask to get an alert when the total number of open high-priority cases exceeds 10. The conditions for your alert are checked once per day, and if the conditions are met, a notification is sent to channels chosen by your admin—desktop, mobile, or Slack.") (Added the week of October 12, 2026)

When you hover over the badge, you can see the originating app, version, installation date, and whether the asset is deployed or used on a Salesforce page. Cloned assets don't retain the badge.") (Added the week of September 7, 2026)
- **Workspaces**: [Track Where Your Tableau Next Dashboards Are Embedded](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_tua_embed_details.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "From the detail panel of any dashboard, see the Lightning pages it's embedded in, with a direct link to each location. - [Set Scalable Targets with Data-Defined Goals](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_semantics_data_goal.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create dynamic goals based on a measure in the semantic data model. When an analyst creates a metric in the semantic data model, users can apply filters and follow the sub-metric. Anyone who filters or follows a sub-metric inherits the data-defined goal, and Tableau automatically displays the goal that matches the metric’s filters and time period, if one is available. For example, you can create a data-defined goal based on the win rate measure. If the team has a data-defined goal for a win rate of 30%, and the West territory has its own goal of 28%, then users who filter the sub-metric to the West territory see the correct goal—28%. This way, users don’t need to create individual goals for each sub-metric, and your team stays in sync working towards the same goal.") (Added the week of August 31, 2026)
