# Build Reusable Skills for Agentforce Coworker

A skill packages instructions, context, and tools into a reusable workflow for an AI agent. A prompt template returns one generated response. A skill runs a repeatable, multi-step task and can run tools, such as querying records or sending email. Create and publish the skill in Skill Builder, and then run it from Skills in Agentforce Coworker.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with the Einstein for Platform add-on, the Einstein or Agentforce for Sales or Service add-on, or Agentforce Foundations.

**When:** This feature is available on a rolling basis in Salesforce orgs upgraded to Winter '27 starting the week of October 19, 2026. Go to [trust.salesforce.com](https://trust.salesforce.com) for exact dates.

**Who:** Users with the AI Skill User permission set can create, edit, publish, share, and run skills. Users with the AI Skill Manager permission set can view and manage all skills in the org. Before you assign a permission set:

- For AI Skill User, provision the Einstein Prompt Builder add-on.
- For AI Skill Manager, provision the Einstein Platform add-on.

**How:** From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select **Permission Sets**. Assign AI Skill User or AI Skill Manager. Create the skill in Skill Builder from Agentforce Studio, or create it from Agentforce Coworker.
