# Access the Chatter Profile Page to Designate Employee Users

From the User details page, access the Chatter profile page to designate employee users. The User Profile button gives you direct access when a network-only user has the Unified Employee license. This button also provides direct access when a user has the Salesforce Platform user license and Chatter is turned off.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

**Why:** In tSummer ‘26, Chatter was turned off by default for all new orgs. This change removed direct navigation from the User details page to the User Profile page.

**How:** On the User details page, click **User Profile**, then click **Enable Employee User** to designate the user as an employee.
