# Manage Shifts with Schedule Manager

Administer shift assignments and workforce availability from a unified scheduling workspace. View schedules across day and week timelines, group shifts by service resource or job profile, and coordinate workforce coverage from a single interface. Assign and unassign shifts, update shift status, create shifts from templates and patterns, and view absence request blocks without leaving Schedule Manager. Shift segment editing continues to be available in the existing Shifts page

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions. Workforce Management is available for an additional cost as an add-on license.

**Who:** Users with the Shift Scheduling Planner and Workforce Engagement Planner permission sets can create, assign, and manage shifts using Schedule Manager. Users with the Shift Scheduling permission can view and edit shifts.

**How:** From the App Launcher, find and select **Schedule Manager**. Select a view and timeline to manage shifts, assignments, and workforce availability.
