# Clean and Transform Data for Analysis Directly in Tableau Next (Generally Available)

Perform data transformations by using the in-app builder in Tableau Next, and you bring an intelligent, self-service data prep flow directly to your analytics workflow. You can add more data, manipulate it by using append, aggregate, filter, transform, and join nodes, and then write the results to a target data object. This feature, now generally available, includes improvements such as column selection when you add data objects.

**Where:** This change applies to Tableau Next in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

**How:** On the Tableau Next home page, select a workspace, click **Add**, and then select **Data Transform**. Alternatively, click **Add**, select **Data Transform**, and create or select a workspace.
