# Gain Visibility Into User Interactions with Tableau Next Auditing (Beta)

Track and analyze user activity within Tableau Next. With the new auditing feature enabled, user interaction events are collected into a data object. You can then analyze the data in Tableau Next, and use your audit trail for compliance and governance purposes.

**Where:** This change applies to Tableau Next in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.

Note Tableau Next Auditing contains pilot or beta services that are subject to the Beta Services Terms at [Agreements - Salesforce.com](https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/agreements/) or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the [Product Terms Directory](https://ptd.salesforce.com/?_ga=2.247987783.1372150065.1709219475-629000709.1639001992). Use of these pilot or beta services is at the Customer's sole discretion.

**How:** To enable auditing, in Tableau Next, go to **Administration > Settings > General**, and turn on **Tableau Next Auditing (Beta)**.

To make the data available in Tableau Next, connect the AnalyticsUserActivityEvent object to Data 360 and map it to data layer objects. Then in Tableau Next, you can create a semantic model, plus metrics, visualizations, and dashboards, where you can view, filter, and query the audit data for investigations, analytics, compliance, and other requirements.
