Accelerate Tableau Next Data Analysis Through Conversations (Limited Beta)

Analyze your Tableau Next data faster by using natural language conversations with the Data Connection and Analytics Creation (Beta) agent. Discover relevant data for your business questions and generate the semantic models, calculations, visualizations, and other assets needed for analysis. Continue refining your analysis through follow-up conversations or edit generated visualizations in Visualization Builder. Save generated assets in Tableau Next for reuse and further analysis.

Note This feature is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer’s sole discretion.

Why: For example, ask in natural language to identify the top 10 products by revenue last quarter. Review the agent’s reasoning workflow while it prepares and after it returns the response. Follow up with questions as your analysis evolves, such as breaking down the top products by category or region. Create and refine visualizations with multiple dimensions and measures, filters, sorting, marks, colors, labels, and tooltips. The agent continues the analysis and generates the assets needed for each answer.

How: To start using the agent, click Conversations and select the agent created from the Data Connection and Analytics Creation (Beta) template. Alternatively, open Conversations from a workspace.
