# Streamline Distributor Procure-to-Receive Operations

Manage distributor procurement through a unified system for creating purchase orders and handling goods receipts. By managing the end-to-end workflow from order placement to receipt within a single system, distributors can accurately fulfill downstream customer demand while maintaining a single source of truth with the manufacturer. This integrated process supports standard, serialized, and batch products and syncs inventory based on received quantities, ensuring greater accuracy and operational control.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions where Manufacturing Cloud is enabled.

**Who:** To use this feature, users need the Manage Purchase Orders and Manage Goods Received Notes permission sets.

**Why:** Traditional fragmented procurement processes lead to delayed fulfillment. Moving these workflows into a single org ensures that manufacturers and distributors collaborate on the same real-time data. This allows distributors to refill inventory efficiently to meet demand, while built-in traceability and stage management maintain a permanent, tamper-proof audit trail for all logistics transactions.

**How:** In Setup, search for **Purchase Order Management** and enable the feature. To support batched and serialized tracking, enable **Criteria-Based Search and Filter (CBSF)**, **Inventory Search and Transfer**, and the **Inventory Batch Management** in Inventory Settings. Set up **Account-Account Relationships** for supplier visibility, **Enterprise Territory Management** for distributor segmentation, and **Stage Management** for managing order stages.
