# Salesforce Lightning Design System Component Blueprints Updates

Use the new `lightning-combobox` variant to create button-like, pill-shaped styling. To provide better visual context for your users, you can also add icons to the combobox container and to individual combobox options.

**Where:** These changes apply to Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and Lightning Experience.

**When:** These changes are in Summer ’26. We improve SLDS frequently.

**Why:** With these updates, designers can create more visually engaging and intuitive interfaces, specifically for results pages and other complex implementations where icons help distinguish between different options or actions.
