# Automate Sensitive Data Monitoring with Recurring Scans in Data Detect

Automate sensitive data monitoring for continuous compliance. Define weekly, monthly, or yearly recurrence intervals by using the schedule creator's time zone. Each time a recurring scan is run, it uses the latest version of the associated policy. All existing scan schedules can be easily viewed, edited, or deactivated.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience (not available in all orgs) in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions with the Salesforce Shield or Data Detect Licenses.
