# Data Detect

Data Detect now offers enhanced capabilities for continuous compliance monitoring through automated, recurring (weekly, monthly, or yearly) scans. In addition, you can scan to include precise keyword and phrase matching by using user-defined dictionaries, greatly improving compliance adherence and content moderation. Broaden your data privacy reach by scanning encrypted text-based fields like Text, Long Text Area, Rich Text Area, Text Area, and text (encrypted). Data Detect supports field scanning with Field level Encryption or Classic Encryption for fields, but encryption does increase the total scan time by approximately one and a half times. You can now enjoy easier data review with excerpt snippets coupled with important security controls.
