# Run Backups Multiple Times a Day

Protect your organization's data with more frequent backups in Backup & Recover Next. Choose how often to automatically run your backups in a day, up to every hour. These backups use a new dedicated retention tier with a default of 14 days (configurable from 1 to 30 days).

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience.

**How:** From the Schedule Settings page, configure your backup frequency. Backups start at the next scheduled slot based on your configuration. If a backup is still running when the next one is scheduled to start, the system skips the overlapping backup to prevent conflicts.
