# Customize Route Optimization with Advanced Routing Profiles

Maximize field representative productivity by customizing the constraints and penalties used by the routing engine. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, administrators can now create profiles that prioritize specific business KPIs, such as minimizing travel time or maximizing time in-store. This flexibility reduces operational costs and ensures high-priority accounts receive the attention they require.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with Salesforce Maps Advanced.

**Who:** Administrators with access to Salesforce Maps Advanced settings.

**How:** From the Maps Advanced configuration page, create a new Advanced Routing Profile. Adjust the priorities for the constraints, such as Travel Time, Visit Spacing, and Time-in-Store. Then assign profiles using permission groups.
