# Einstein Activity Capture

Einstein Activity Capture is changing. Update to use Sync Email as Salesforce Activity before you’re automatically migrated. And, if you use Microsoft Office 365, upgrade your connection for Einstein Activity Capture to Microsoft Graph by August 2026.

- **[Update Einstein Activity Capture and Migrate Email Before the Automatic Update](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_productivity_eac_automatic_email_migration_coming.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Update Einstein Activity Capture and migrate previously captured email to Salesforce activity data prior to the automigration. When you update and migrate your email, all new and previously captured emails are synced, stored, and available to platform tools and operations. If you don’t complete the process yourself, we automatically update Einstein Activity Capture and migrate your email.
- **[Upgrade Microsoft 365 Authentication in Einstein Activity Capture to Microsoft Graph](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_productivity_eac_graph_ga.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Transition your Einstein Activity Capture’s Microsoft Office 365 authentication to Microsoft Graph by August 3, 2026, to keep your data syncing without disruption when Microsoft retires Exchange Web Services (EWS) in October 2026. Microsoft Graph is the new, secure, and scalable standard for authentication. Proactive notifications and a single-click tool make the upgrade process smooth.
- **[Event Data Is Now Stored on the Salesforce Platform](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_productivity_eac_events_move_to_platform.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Event data synced through Einstein Activity Capture is now stored on the platform. This update is automatic and requires no action on your part. Meeting invitees included in past events who don’t have a contact, lead, or user record no longer appear in Meeting Digest. However, invitees without records included in upcoming events appear in Meeting Digest. Also, users outside of an Einstein Activity Capture configuration no longer see event data on the activity timeline. If you move these users into a configuration, data from the previous 180 days populates their timeline.
- **[Prepare for Activity 360 Reporting, Activity Metrics, and Activities Analytics Dashboard Retirement](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_productivity_eac_reports_retire_prepare.htm&release=262.0.0&type=5)**
Before these tools retire, we recommend turning on Sync Email as Salesforce Activity for Einstein Activity Capture and configuring reports to explore data captured from email.
