Drive Productivity and CRM Automation with Einstein Conversation Insights Data Moving to the Salesforce Platform

We’re migrating Einstein Conversation Insights (ECI) data to the Salesforce Platform for all ECI customers who aren’t on the platform. With this migration, your ECI data, including call transcripts and AI-generated insights, is stored natively on the Salesforce Platform. Get your transcripts processed quickly and use CRM automation tools like Flow, Apex, and Prompt Builder.

Where: This change applies to Einstein Conversation Insights in Starter, Pro, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Agentforce 1 Sales editions.

When: Starting in May 2026, ECI data migration to the Salesforce Platform begins on a rolling basis. Data is stored natively in standard Salesforce objects and counts toward your organization’s data storage capacity.

Note
Note Analytics for Conversation Insights is scheduled for retirement in Summer ’26. To view current conversation data and trends, use standard Salesforce Reports. For more information, see Custom Report Types.
Note
Note As part of this migration, Vendor Transcript Processing is automatically enabled for your org. For more information, see Vendor Transcript Processing.

Who: This change applies to all orgs where Einstein Conversation Insights was enabled before Spring ’26.

Why: Storing ECI data in standard Salesforce objects enables deeper integration with Salesforce tools and workflows. With your data in the Salesforce Platform, you can:

  • Reference conversation data directly in Flow, Apex, and Prompt Builder to create alerts, update records, and trigger actions based on specific insights
  • Query and report on conversation data by using standard Salesforce reporting tools
  • Run models and draw new inferences to provide valuable intelligence for your sales organization

How: Your org is migrated automatically on a scheduled basis. No action is required, but we recommend:

  • Reviewing your ECI configuration before migration to make sure that settings are up to date
  • If your org previously used Analytics for Conversation Insights, recreate your reports by using Custom Report Types after migration
