# Enable Internal Employees to Apply for Jobs Through Self-Service Portals

Help public sector agencies manage internal recruitment by providing employees with a self-service portal to search for open positions and submit applications. The Employee Portal includes job search with filters for location, grade, and occupation, and online application submission with document upload using the Form Framework with Application Sections.

**Where:** This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions where Agentforce Public Sector, formerly Public Sector Solutions, is active.

**Who:** Requires Salesforce Platform Company Communities permission set for internal employee candidates.

**Why:** Previously, internal employees used manual or disconnected systems to apply for positions within their agency, which disconnected application data from HR records and made status tracking difficult. The Employee Portal provides a unified self-service experience. Employees can search for positions based on criteria like location, pay band, and occupation series, then apply online using the Form Framework with Application Sections, with support for document upload for resumes and supporting materials. This reduces HR administrative work and helps employees stay informed throughout the hiring process.

**How:** In Setup, enable the Employee Portal template from Experience Cloud. Assign the Salesforce Platform Company Communities permission set to internal employee candidates. Configure the job search component to support filtering by grade, pay band, occupation, and location. Use the Form Framework to configure Application Sections to structure the application form and pre-populate employee profile data. Define required document types for upload to support resume and supporting material submission.
