# Extract Regulation and Policy Clauses with Generative AI

Reduce the time and effort required to digitize regulatory documents by extracting and creating regulation and policy clause records in Process Compliance Navigator with generative AI. Manual extraction of compliance clauses from lengthy regulatory PDFs is error-prone and slows down your team's ability to respond to new or updated requirements. Upload a PDF to extract key information and descriptions, while skipping irrelevant sections such as definitions and FAQs. Compliance officers review extracted data before finalizing clause versions, so you can accelerate the digitization of legacy documents and the deployment of updated operational guardrails.

**Where:** This feature applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with the Agentforce Employee agent add-on. The Agentforce Employee agent uses Flex Credits under the Salesforce Foundations Entitlements model.

**Who:** Compliance Clause Extraction for Process Compliance Navigator is available to Salesforce users with a Compliance Admin, Prompt Template Manager or Prompt Template User permission, Scoring Framework Admin permission, and NLP Service permission set.

**How:** On the Regulation Clause Version and Compliance Policy Clause Version record, click Extract Clauses and then upload a PDF. Then, view the results and select clauses to create records.
