# Track Multistore Orders More Efficiently with Store ID in Order Numbers

Include store identifiers directly in order numbers for faster order tracking and fulfillment. You can customize the order number prefix to add the store ID automatically to every online order, eliminating extra lookup steps when processing orders from multiple locations.

**Where:** This change applies to Point of Sale.

**How:** In CMS, go to **Advanced | Order Number Range Config** and create a configuration. Add {storeId} to the prefix.
