# Protect Store Sales During Outages with Centralized Offline Controls

Switch registers to offline from a centralized dashboard during network disruptions or scheduled maintenance. Managing offline events centrally eliminates configuring individual devices on the floor, keeping checkout lines moving and preventing lost sales. Real-time event tracking, immutable audit logs, and safeguards against accidental scope reduction ensure operational control throughout an incident.

**Where:** This change applies to Point of Sale.

**How:** In CMS, go to **Store Management | Offline Event Management** and create a new offline event.
