# Empower Franchise Managers with Scoped Access Control and Independent POS Management

Eliminate unauthorized data exposure and reduce operational dependency on corporate admins by giving franchise managers direct control over their store's functions. You can create franchise-specific roles and users, link store associates directly to their franchise, and enforce granular CMS visibility. This feature ensures franchise users see only the data relevant to their locations, drives operational autonomy at the store level, reduces administrative overhead, and safeguards data integrity across your entire franchise network.

**Where:** This change applies to Point of Sale.

**How:** In CMS, go to **Advanced | CMS User Management | Roles** and create a franchise role. Go to **CMS User Management | Users** to create a franchise user and assign the user to a franchise group.
